Miami is one of the state\'s most popular tourist destinations, and while many tourists travel to the beach, the city now offers another way for families to cool down in hot weather ---Miami- Water Park. As of publication, nine water parks can be found within a reasonable drive of Miami. Vineyard water park is the only water park in Miami and has recently been named one of the best water parks in South Florida by \"CBS Miami. \"Its two swimming pools and waterslide play areas, Shipwreck Island and pirate diving require visitors to be more than 48 inch tall. The pirate river ride is a winding river area that requires riders over 42 inch tall to wear lifeguards. From 3 to 5, the water park is only open on weekends. After Memorial Day, it is open every day and has a family movie night on the last Friday of each month. Castaway Island, located in topekeegee Yugnee Park, is located in Hollywood and is open seasonally from the end of August.
